September 11th:
Catalonia’s National Day
On September 11, 1714, Barcelona fell, ending Catalan institutions and civil liberties. This date commemorates Catalonia's National Day, marked by protests and activities. Political entities lay floral tributes at Rafael Casanova's monuments, and many museums in Barcelona hold open days.
- National Art Museum of Catalonia*: Free from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Catalonia History Museum*: Free from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
- Catalonia Archaeology Museum*: Open from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
- Palau Güell*: Visit by reservation (1-hour visit) from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
- Palau de la Generalitat*: Visits by reservation on September 11 (11:00 AM - 5:00 PM), 14, and 15 (11:00 AM - 7:00 PM).
- Catalan Parliament*: Free visits without reservation from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Festa Major Poblenou 2024
Poblenou celebrates with a vibrant festival from September 6 to 15, featuring hundreds of activities for everyone! Enjoy concerts, games, food, and exhibitions throughout the neighborhood.

- *September 6:* Kick off with vinyl music and the 5th Harrak Rock Fest.
- *September 7:* Join a vermut rumbero and a tapas competition.

Barceloneta Festival Sep 25-29
This year’s festivities will last five days, but there won’t be a funfair due to the America’s Cup. While the full program for 2024 is yet to be announced, here are some highlights from 2023:
- Opening Speech*: By the Fishermen's Guild at Plaça de la Barceloneta.
- Floral Offering*: At Plaça de Sant Miquel.
- Trabucaires* and *Cercavila del Canó*.
- Sardana Festival*: From the seafront to Carrer de l’Atlàntida, featuring a sardana dance with Cobla Sant Jordi at Plaça Poeta Boscà.
- Seafood Tasting*: By the Fishermen's Guild of Barcelona.
- Night Events*: Including the Sardineta Party, swing night, batucada, concerts, and DJ sets.
- Correfoc*: Torch parade and fire show route through the neighborhood.
- Closing Event*: Laser and music show at Plaça de la Barceloneta.

Cultural Regatta (America's Cup)

The Cultural Regatta is a series of activities scheduled alongside the America's Cup sailing competition in Barcelona. It includes cultural, artistic, food, science, and entertainment events, inviting residents to engage with this major global sporting event.
Around sixty entities, institutions, and venues will host over 200 activities before, during, and after the America’s Cup.
